Mark Welch

It is hard enough losing someone as loved as Mark during normal times - even harder when we are all kept apart by the pandemic.  We are hoping this website can serve as a place for those who loved and knew Mark to share their stories, messages, and photos while finding some peace by reading and seeing those provided by others.  Eventually, when large gatherings can occur, we will look to bring all his friends and family together to remember him in a way that he would have wanted.

This site has a few different pages - all accessible along the menu at the top of this page.  Please be sure to add photos you have of Mark to the "Photos to Share" and your own remembrance and stories to the "Words to Share" page.  Finally, we know Mark had friends far and wide who would like to be a part of his celebration of life when it does occur.  Please go to the Contact page and provide us with your name and contact information so that we can be sure to make you aware of this event once it is planned.

In lieu of flowers, we are looking to collect donations to put towards a memorial bench in Mark's name at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg, CA.  Mark served on the Board of Directors for a stint but, more importantly, he has always loved spending time in the gardens with Kory looking at the impressive collection of Rhododendrons.  Donations towards this cause can be made here: fundly.com/mark-s-bench-at-the-botanical-gardens
